Problem
Future Group, a major Australian superannuation provider, struggled with fragmented and inconsistent data spread across multiple platforms and administrators. This siloed structure made it difficult to consolidate information, resulting in slow, error-prone reporting. The lack of a unified view of member activity and fund performance hindered timely decision-making.
Solution
Idea 11, recommended by AWS, designed and implemented a centralised data lakehouse on AWS using Databricks. Within four weeks, a proof of concept was delivered, integrating data from one fund and producing actionable reports. The platform automated data ingestion, enforced governance and security, and was built for scalability. Ongoing collaboration ensured that Future Group’s internal team could operate and expand the system.
Result
Within six months, the platform consolidated data from three of five funds and automated reporting, reducing manual work and improving accuracy. Compliance and executive reporting became faster and more reliable. The solution enabled Future Group to make quicker, data-informed decisions, and laid the foundation for future AI and analytics initiatives.
“The main thing was having some really strong expertise working in a way where they were part of our team. Idea 11 works closely with us and understands what we're doing. This close relationship has been key to our success and our confidence in our data strategy moving forward.”
