James Kahn - Managing Director and Founder
James is passionate about building Idea 11 into one of the shining stars in Queensland's technology industry. With an uncanny ability to see through haze and uncertainty to determine the right solution in any situation, James believes in building capable, simple to manage solutions that just work.
James is a strong believer that web and cloud-based computing will transform the way that businesses look at managing technology and delivering applications.
Previously James was the lead consultant for the award-winning Brisbane-based virtualization & application delivery consulting company, Clariti. More recently he was technical lead for the Australia/NZ region for virtualisation management and disaster recovery software vendor Vizioncore. While at Vizioncore he wrote the vReplicator Disaster Recovery Best Practices guide, which is used by Vizioncore customers internationally. He has worked with an extensive range of businesses, from small business through to the mid-size, and some of the largest enterprises and Government departments in Australia & NZ. Multi-talented, James' experience encompasses virtualisation, thin computing, networks, enterprise architecture and IT strategy.
James holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Bachelor of Commerce in Information Systems. In his spare time he trains and competes in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (grappling).

Dan Halford - Principal Architect
Dan's goal is for the Idea 11 name to become synonymous with quality and excellence. Dan combines a talent for understanding his clients' business needs with clear, concise communication and a dedication to designing software and systems solutions that enhance productivity through efficiency and simplicity.
Dan designs software for the Microsoft .NET platform and has a special
interest in showing businesses how cloud-based software can encourage
flexibility and innovation.
With 15 years in the IT industry, Dan has provided consultancy and implementation services for clients of all sizes across Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom. He has worked with organizations across numerous industry sectors, from small businesses to leading financial institutions and government departments. Dan's experience encompasses thin computing, operating environment design and automation, virtualisation and custom software design.
Dan lives in Brisbane with his wife, two cats and four fish. In his spare time, he enjoys riding his motorbike, photographing Queensland's diverse wildlife and drinking good coffee.
